Mandoza’s Wife In Money Drama Concerning His Funeral Donation

Mpho Tshabalala who is the wife of the late Kwaito star Mandoza is currently involved in money drama concerning the donation that was made for his funeral by former SABC’s Chief Operations Officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng to pay for funeral costs.

The money was transferred to Mandoza’s manager Kevin Ntaopane to give to the family. The family claim to have not received that money which is why Mpho reportedly confronted the manager about it.

“I have never received any money from Kevin coming from Hlaudi,” said Mpho.

According to Sunday World it is alleged that Kevin did not state firmly if whether or not he received the donation money believed to have been R20 000 even though Hlaudi refused to disclose the amount.

A family friend friend of Mandoza Power FM sports presenter Thabiso Mosia claimed that he went to Ntaopane’s home in Noordgesig, Soweto, two weeks after the funeral in September last year and asked him why he did not declare the donation.

Hlaudi made confirmation that he did forward a contribution to the family through Ntaopane and declared that he doesn’t want to be involved in the drama.”I can’t disclose the figure. It’s a family matter that should be dealt with by the family themselves,” said Motsoeneng.

The manager is currently out of reach.

Mpho expressed how this issue is just making her relive the pain of losing her husband. “All I am asking for at this moment is that we let Mduduzi rest in peace.”
