Tyla Scores New RIAA Gold Certifications as Her Global Success Accelerates

Tyla’s rise in the global music scene shows no signs of slowing. The 23-year-old South African singer has added two new achievements to her growing list of accolades. Her hit singles “Jump” and “Push 2 Start” have officially been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The RIAA confirmed both certifications on July 29, 2025, noting that the songs surpassed 500,000 units in combined sales and streaming equivalents in the US. These are Tyla’s third and fourth Gold-certified tracks in the US. Her breakout hit “Water” is currently 3x Platinum, while “Truth or Dare” has also reached Gold status.
“Jump”, featuring American rapper Gunna and Jamaican artist Skillibeng, marked a major milestone for all involved. It became Skillibeng’s first Gold-certified song in the US. The track blends Afrobeats and dancehall, aligning with Tyla’s signature “popiano” style. It reached No. 3 on the Billboard Afrobeats Songs chart and No. 42 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. In the UK, it climbed to No. 38 on the Official Singles Chart.
“Push 2 Start” was initially released as a bonus track on Tyla+, the deluxe edition of her self-titled debut album. The song quickly gained traction, becoming a fan favorite. Its popularity soared further after the release of its music video, which has amassed over 102 million views. A remix featuring dancehall icon Sean Paul added more fuel to its momentum.
Beyond the US, “Push 2 Start” has achieved multiple international certifications. It is Platinum in Brazil and New Zealand, Gold in Canada and Greece, and Silver in the UK.
Earlier this year, both tracks appeared on Spotify’s Global Impact List. Tyla led the South African edition with 12 songs in the top 25, reinforcing her international appeal. Her mix of pop, Amapiano, and Afrobeats continues to resonate with listeners worldwide.
Tyla’s consistent chart success and growing list of certified hits place her among the most prominent African artists on the global stage. The RIAA Gold certification for “Jump” and “Push 2 Start” confirms that her music is not only heard but celebrated far beyond her home country.
