GRAMMY Award-Winner Una Rams Drops Debut Album About Love and Marriage

GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Una Rams has announced his highly anticipated debut album, Meet Me at the Altar, set to release on Friday, 15 August. The Venda-born artist, whose real name is Unarine Rambani, is presenting a project centered on love, marriage, and cultural celebration.

In a heartfelt message to fans, Una explained that the album has been years in the making. “I’ve waited my whole life for a time like this – countless hours, endless sessions and sleepless nights, all as sacrifice to finally make it to this point. Working on my debut album became a true test of commitment, having to go back to work on some of these records over and over again,” he said.

Una tied the knot with actress Ntando Duma in June, and he describes the album as the soundtrack to their love story. “What started off as a collection of songs soon became a declaration of my love for my wife. It became the soundtrack to the fairytale that is our lives – a sonic museum where we could express, teach and celebrate our cultures coming together, much like our wedding celebrations,” he shared.

One standout track, Priceless Possession, was written in 2017 after a dream inspired him. “Today, when I look at how my life’s turned out, the family we’ve started and the love that surrounds me, the song carries a lot more weight and new meaning,” Una explained.

Ntando Duma expressed her pride in her husband’s work. “I’m beyond proud of you. This album is a masterpiece, and I’m so grateful to have been on this journey with you. Every single song is a reflection of your heart and soul, and I know the world is going to fall in love with it, just like I have,” she wrote.

Meet Me at the Altar focuses on romance, heritage, and cultural unity. Fans can expect heartfelt music that captures both the personal love story of Una and Ntando, as well as a celebration of their shared cultures. The album promises to be a defining moment in Una Rams’ career and a milestone for South African music.
