Oskido Launches Afro House Heritage Project

Oskido has unveiled the Afro House Heritage Project, a bold initiative that reimagines his legendary catalogue through the perspective of today’s Afro house innovators. The project bridges South Africa’s musical legacy with the future of the genre. Released under his Legend Live label, the launch began on 29 August 2025 with Dr Feel & Oskido’s remix of the classic “Tsa Ma Ndebele Kids.” The track has already gained support from tastemakers including Themba, AMÉMÉ, and Shimza.

This release marks the first chapter in a three-phase rollout of the Tsa Ma Ndebele Remix Package. The project aims to carry timeless South African music into the global dance conversation. Additional reworks by Manoo, Atmos Blaq, and Mpho.Wav are scheduled between now and October, expanding the collection and deepening the project’s reach.

Oskido, a titan of South African music and a respected cultural figure across the continent, frames this project as “the beginning of something bigger.” The initiative merges heritage with innovation. The opening remix of “Tsa Ma Ndebele Kids,” originally featuring Candy, is revitalized with deep, spiritual synths and authentic vocal chants. It delivers a contemporary Afro house energy while remaining rooted in tradition.

The Afro House Heritage Project serves as a living tribute to Oskido’s influence on Kwaito and South African house music. As co-founder of Kalawa Jazmee Records and creator of the Church Grooves series, Oskido has shaped the continent’s soundscape and mentored multiple generations of artists.

As Afro house gains global resonance, the project emphasizes how foundational voices continue to shape the genre. Alongside the remix releases, fans can expect exclusive DJ mixes, curated performances, and platform takeovers that highlight the dialogue between past, present, and future.

The Afro House Heritage Project is not a retrospective. It is a reawakening. It asserts that Oskido’s pioneering spirit continues to influence electronic music worldwide, reinforcing his position as a central figure in the evolution of Afro house.
