FiNE Redefines AfroTech and Progressive Afro House with “Say My Name”

South African-born, Australia-based twin duo FiNE continue to push the boundaries of AfroTech and Progressive Afro House with their latest single, “Say My Name.” The track fuses club energy with emotional depth, offering a rhythm-driven experience that resonates on the dancefloor and through headphones alike.

“Say My Name” emerged from a space of creative instinct. The duo explains, “We let go of the rules and leaned fully into the process. The song speaks to that quiet ache behind the smile – the things people feel but don’t always say.” The single blends hypnotic synths, a Caribbean-inspired groove, and a gritty bassline. Nigerian vocalist Phina Asa delivers a commanding performance, giving the track its emotional core.

Since its release, “Say My Name” has gained significant traction on streaming platforms. It appears on 25 Apple Music and Spotify playlists, including six major editorial features. The track debuted on Spotify’s New Music Friday South Africa, reached #11 on mint South Africa, and featured on Apple Music’s Africa Now, Afro House Nation (#3), Isgubhu (#4), and New Music Daily. FiNE were also highlighted as one of the “Big 5” on Apple Music’s Africa Now Radio with Nandi Madida.

The single reflects FiNE’s mission to evolve modern Afro House. Their music merges African rhythm with futuristic production, creating a sound that is both rooted and progressive. The duo has achieved consistent placements on Beatport and Traxsource charts, earning recognition as one of South Africa’s standout electronic acts.

Through their independent label Sippy Time, FiNE have released a growing catalogue including Alpha Omega, Ubuntu, Nomathemba, and Twende. Collaborations with Lemon & Herb, Enoo Napa, Citizen Deep, Nana Atta, Maline Aura, and Lizwi have drawn attention from Defected Records, Mixmag, EDM.com, and TimesLIVE. Each project emphasizes authenticity, innovation, and rhythm-driven storytelling.

Raised between South Africa and Botswana, FiNE’s music reflects African heritage fused with global electronic sophistication. Inspired by artists like Black Coffee, Themba, Liva K, and Vanco, their sound bridges tradition and evolution, connecting spirit, heart, and movement.

Looking ahead, FiNE will release their follow-up single, “Changes” featuring Bobbi Fallon, on November 7. The duo also launches a South African tour in November and December, followed by Asian tour dates in early 2026, expanding their AfroTech influence internationally. With “Say My Name,” FiNE continue to solidify their position at the forefront of Africa’s electronic music scene.
