South African DJ, producer and sound engineer Chymamusique marks a new chapter in his musical journey with the release of Musique Compiled Vol. 1, a 15-track album that places collaboration, discovery and the next generation of music creators at its heart.

Having turned 36 in June 2026, Chymamusique drew inspiration from this milestone when selecting 36 producers for the broader Musique Compiled initiative. He doubled the number as part of his vision to extend the project across future volumes. With Musique Compiled Vol. 1 introducing the first 15 tracks, the compilation series is designed to continue creating opportunities for producers whose music deserves to be heard, giving more artists the chance to share their work with a wider audience.

The idea behind Musique Compiled began with an invitation. Chymamusique invited producers to submit their music, especially those whose sounds and creative contributions have yet to reach a wider audience. The response was significant, with approximately 1,300 submissions received. Taking the time to listen through the music, Chymamusique set out to identify productions that resonated with him, creating an opportunity for selected artists to have their work heard through a platform shaped by his experience and musical ear.
