Afro-Soul music sensation Berita wins Best Female at the Eastern Cape Music Awards

Multi-award winning, GOLD selling, Afro-Soul music sensation, Berita, has just added another accolade to her already impressive resume. Berita won the coveted Best Female at the annual Eastern Cape Music Awards (ECMAS) which took place this past Saturday, 25 February 2017 in East London at the Abbotsford Christian Center.

Having birthed her musical career in the Eastern Cape, this award is very sentimental to Berita as the Eastern Cape have shown her nothing but support since releasing her now classic hit single Thandolwethu.

“This is a huge deal for me; I arrived in the Eastern Cape 6 years ago with a suitcase, a guitar and a secret dream in my heart. Saturday night was but a dream! I’m grateful for this beautiful journey. Enkosi!” expresses Berita about her Best Female ECMAS win.
