Don’t Miss Out On Riky Rick’s Collaboration With Hugh Masekela

Award winning rapper Riky Rick will be performing live with the Legendary Jazz musician Hugh Masekela at the Jazz festival in September. The trumpeter and rapper will be collaborating on a project for the 20th addition of the Standard Bank Joy Of Jazz Music Festival 2017.

The statement released stated that the rap star will be taking on some of Hugh’s most admired hits to remix and re-imagine them from his generation vantage point. Masekela will also perform some of Riky Ricky’s memorial hits.

The two will be meeting on stage on the 20th of September before the big concert. Every one is invited to join this unique and amazing festival. Jazz and Rap lovers will be hearing a lot of good music, all their favourite hits will be re-mixed and performed in a way they never heard before.

This will surely be an interesting collab, who would’ve imagined a rap and jazz star sharing the stage.
The Standard Bank Joy of Jazz festival takes place in Johannesburg from 28 to 30 September, with performances by the likes of Thandiswa Mazwai and Tutu Puoane to name a few.
