Dr Tumi On His Concert At The Dome
Award winning Gospel singer and Medical Practitioner who goes by the name Dr Tumi became the first gospel artist in the history of South Africa to fill up the Tickectpro Dome. The Dome is a venue that host a variety of events mainly musical it is located in Johannesburg. The seating capacity of the audience is approximately 20,000. Speaking to TshisaLive Dr Tumi expressed how overwhelmed he was about having about 20 000 to come watch him perform.
“I can’t thank people enough for the support. It was so overwhelming to see the dream become a reality. Of course, all the glory belongs to God, because it is indeed by his grace that everything has happened as it has,” he said. One would expect such from an Hip Hop artist but barely the Gospel one, which proves just how fast the genre is growing. The Nothing Without You hitmaker became the best selling gospel star on iTunes last month. Not only were people watching him perform but they were also singing along to his songs throughout the whole show.
Joining him for support in the concert were other big artist such as Candy Tsa Mandebele, Sipho Makhabane, Nqubeko Mbatha and Brenda Mbambo. In Conclusion the star encouraged people to work hard for what they love. “This concert shows that if you have a dream and the willingness to see it become a reality, you can. You need to keep your faith, work hard and find others that are willing to help you. But no dream is impossible,” he said.
