Craig Lucas is the handsome young man that South Africa got to know on the second season of The Voice South Africa musical show. He was the winner of the season and has now released his debut single titled I Said This. The song is pop and is purely romantic. It was written by Jethro Tait of The X Factor South Africa-winning group FOUR. This song is the lead single off his upcoming debut album which is set to release later this year.

Craig expressed what the song meant to him also stating his gratitude to fans that followed him since from The Voice. “I am so grateful to everyone who supported me on The Voice South Africa by voting and constantly sending messages of support and fighting for me. I feel an overwhelming responsibility to pay them back and the best way I can do that is by making music for them; this song if for them,” he said.

Lucas said that he dedicated the lyrics of the songs to everyone that supports him and that it is not only his song but ‘our song’. “The lyrics speak about it being “our song” and that’s what I wanted it to be. It is a feel-good song and it perfectly encapsulates how I’ve felt since winning. I wanted to share the good vibes with everyone else.”
