Media Personality and Businesswoman Nandi Madida announced on instagram that she will be the first African to host an Afropunk music festival held in Brooklyn this month. The music festival is set to take place in New York from the 26th till the 27th of August.

Afropunk music festival is an annual celebration where the most famous afropunk musicians get to perform their greatest hits of all times. It’s a celebration that unifies the cultural cornerstones of Afropunk through music, film, skate, and art. This year’s line up include big names such as Solange Knowles, Macy Gray and Raphael Saadiq.

The best part is that this festival will also be coming to SA towards the end of the year. The location set for it to take place is Johannesburg. The artists set to perform are Solange Knowles, Laura Mvula, Anderson Paak and a few of other local artists.
