Zahara Says South Africa Doesn’t Acknowledge Her Singing Talent
Multi award winning Afro pop Singer Zahara stated in an interview with TshisaLive that she will be moving overseas because South Africa doesn’t appreciate her singing talent. The Loliwe hit-maker expressed how South Africa is more focused on her private life than it is on her her music, and that she will be relocating to a place that will appreciate her gift. She said that she feels less respected and is tired of trying to impress people.
“I have taken my music across Africa and I have won many awards. I have done everything I could here and now people have started to tear me apart. They focus on my private life instead of my music and they don’t give me the same respect. I am now done with Africa and trying to impress everyone. It is time for Africa and South Africa to let me go and let me take my music to places where it can be appreciated. I love this country and what it has done for me but my talent needs to be heard,” Zahara said.
Like most Celebrities the Phendula singer has been on the news a number of times where publications report on her private life affairs, from her relationships to her being an alleged alcoholic and being flat broke. The singer expressed how these reports shift the foucs of her fans to her private life when they should be focusing on her music.
Zahara will be releasing her 4th album titled Mgodi on the 13th of October 2017.
