Mzansi Magic has slammed claims that it will be airing a reality TV show of Babes Wodumo. The Wololo hit-maker claimed that she will be having her own show on the Mzansi Magic DStv 161 but the channel denied those claims.
Babes told the Sunday Tribune publication that she already has a reality show on M-Net’s Mzansi Magic channel with cameras that will start rolling next week to catch her in all her glam and Qgom life. “Viewers will see that I am not fake,” Babes told the publication at the time.
The Publication stated to Channel 24 that it is unaware of those claims. “We do not have a programme that has been commissioned regarding Babes Wodumo,” said Nondumiso Mabece, M-Net’s head of publicist for local entertainment channels. “We have seen a number of reality show proposals centered around various personalities including Babes Wodumo but we do not have a commissioned programme.”
Babes Wodumo has made a number of false claims in the past. She claimed, during an interview with V-Entertainment’s Nomuzi Mabena, that singer Justin Bieber requested to do a Wololo remix with her during his South African tour. She then made another claim of losing a USB that contained her hit Ganda Ganda prior it’s official release and most people believed it was just a publicity stun. Two guys from Durban came forward and claimed that the song Ganda Ganda was theirs, that Babes allegedly stole it. The case of the song is till in process.
