Sbu Noah Speaks Of His Near-Death Experience

Gospel muso Sbusiso Noah spoke of how he escaped death when he was involved in a car crash that involved four cars last Friday. As expected the accident left him shaken and the doctors that came to his rescue told him he wouldn’t be able to perform even though he only had minor injuries.

He explained the ordeal on Social Media “This weekend I saw God! I left on Friday on my way to a gig in Kuruman. I never reached my destination as the car I was in crashed into four other cars,” he said. He also mentioned that his car spun around and hit the four cars. Even though he was told to take it easy, the Joyous Celebration member carried on with his plans to perform.

“After the accident I decided that I still wanted to keep my commitments. Maybe I wasn’t thinking clearly because the doctors had told me not to perform. But I felt bad and didn’t want to disappoint my fans‚” Sbu said in an interview with TshisaLive. The singer expressed how singing to his fans healed him.

Sbu’s musical and spiritual career was groomed at his church where he has served as a worship leader. To his luck one of the Joyous Of Celebration founders spotted him and was moved by the passion he had to serve God through praise and worship. He invited him to join Joyous Celebration in 2012 during their 3rd instalment of Joyous Rewind where he led the song “We bless your name medley“. He then recorded Joyous Celebration 17 where he led the traditional Maskandi song called “ÜNkulunkulu Uyang’thanda”.

Noah has been a lead singer to a number of songs such as “Ümoya Praise Medley” in Joyous Celebration 18, “NginoJesu Medley” and “Hallelujah Nkateko (Lihle’s Version)” in Joyous Celebration 19, co-lead a tribute to the late Lihle Swazi called “UJesu Ulidwala” in Joyous Celebration 19, as well as the self-composed tracks “Ngiphephile” and “Ngigcine” on Joyous Celebration 20.
