The Launch Of The True Music Africa For Upcoming African Artists
A celebration of diverse musical talent has been established and it is called True Music Africa.Boiler Room and Ballantine’s Scotch Whisky announced that True Music Africa will be taking place in four different cities, launching on the 23rd of November as it kick-start in Cape Town. This is event aims to challenge artists to continue pushing boundaries while worming their way into the music industry. The main oobjective is to tell the stories of varied music scenes sweeping the continent through documentaries and live-streamed parties.
Headlining the event will be Maya Jane Coles and Seth Troxler, as well as multiple visits to South Africa together. The event will broadcast also broadcast in Countries Cameroon and Kenya.
“Africa is full of diverse sounds and artists pioneering creativity. As the influence from a vast range of music genres across the continent is increasingly felt in European and American production, global tastemakers are looking towards their thriving underground scenes for inspiration. Our previous shows in Cape Town and Johannesburg with Boiler Room were some of the most sonically exciting we’ve had the pleasure of working on. So, this time around we’re looking forward to going back and getting even deeper under the skin of diverse nightlife cultures with True Music artists,” said Patrick Venning, Ballantine’s marketing director.

and DJ Lyle.
