5 SA Musicians That Have Suffered Severe illnesses

The fact is everybody gets sick at some point in their life, some are unfortunate enough to suffer great illnesses that become impossible to cure, some survive while others die. Rich or poor when sickness has got you it has you, it depends on how you handle it. Over the years South Africa has been losing its greatest musicians to severe illnesses that just attack them and leave them with little or no chances of survival. Others have accepted their sicknesses and are living openly with it.

Below is the list of 5 artists that have got sick, some survived, some didn’t

Lundi Tyamara

Gospe  star Lundi Tyamara died last year after a long struggle with stomach TB and liver complications, he spent few days in Hospital and later died.

Mandoza

According to Mduduzi’s family he died of neck and head cancer, his doctor disclosed that that was not the cause of his death it was another severe disease that he did not mention. The family were infuriated at the Doctors violation of privacy and spoke of taking legal actions against.

Vuyo Mokeona

 

Vuyo Mokoena was admitted to hospital after experiencing blinding headaches. it was later revealed that he had developed a brain tumor that caused his death.

Sfiso Ncwane

 

Sfiso Ncwane died in December 2016. The Kulungile Baba hitmaker passed away from kidney failure after a short sickness. Ncwane was 37 years old at the time of his death.

Musa Njoko

Gospel singer Musa ‘Queen’ Njoko has been living with HIV/Aids for 21 years. She was only 22 when she was diagnosed at the time. Njoko has since became one of the most prominent voices fighting HIV/Aids.
