6.TKZee
TKZee is a South African kwaito music group formed by three school friends, Tokollo Tshabalala, Kabelo Mabalane, and Zwai Bala. The group shot to prominence in late 1997 and early 1998 with their hit singles Palafala and Shibobo. 1996 their debut album was released titled Take It Easy,unfortunately this album provided low sales units.December 1997 the group released Palafala, sampling Joni Mitchell’s Big Yellow Taxi. The song became a hit, with the CD single selling over 100 000 units. The group’s next big release was in the run-up to the 1998 FIFA World Cup. In collaboration with Bafana Bafana and then-Ajax striker Benni McCarthy, the group produced Shibobo in June 1998. The song, which contained samples of Europe’s The Final Countdown and featured McCarthy rapping on some of the lyrics, was an instant success. Sales topped the 100 000 mark in just over a month, a feat which made Shibobo the fastest and biggest selling CD single by a South African recording artist in history. They quickly became household names not just in South Africa but across the continent.

Trompies are a South African music group who specialise in a type of pop music known as kwaito. The members of the group grew up together in a Soweto township and agreed to form a band after they had all completed their music studies in college.Beginning to make music in the mid 1990s, they have since sold over half a million records and have become very successful in producing and managing other artists as well through their record label Kalawa Jazmee.

L’vovo Derrango (Thokozani Ndlovu) is a South African recording Kwaito artist who achieved widespread recognition with the release of his self titled debut album, “L’vovo Derrango”.
9.Professor
Professor first rose to prominence as part of the Durban-based Kwaito duo Tzozo and Professor before branching out on his own making a huge mark on the South African music industry with hit songs such as Jezebel, Imoto and Lento. In 2010 Professor released his debut album as a solo artist under Kalawa Jazmee Records. The album was titled “University of Kalawa Jazmee” and its lead single titled “Jezebel”,[3][4] it was a runaway success and catapulted to even higher levels of success as an artist and launched as an individual rather than part of the duo. The songs contained in the album were so strong that every single that came out of it was critically praised; this includes, “Jimaphi le Weight”, “Imoto” and “Lento”. Furthermore, at the year 2010 edition of the Metro FM Music Awards the album was nominated in three categories; Best Kwaito Album, Song of the Year (Jezebel) and Best Collaboration.[5] He went on to win Best Kwaito Album and the coveted Song of the Years Award.[6] At the 21st South African Music Awards held on 19 April 2015 at Sun City in the North West the album, University of Kalawa Jazmee, won Best Kwaito Album.[7][8]
In 2012 Professor returned with his second solo offering titled “Orientation” which won Best Kwaito Album and secured Professor the Best Male Artist Award at the 12th Annual Metro FM Music Awards
