Brenda Mtambo Live Experience Postponed

THE Brenda Mtambo Live Experience, originally scheduled for 22 August at Witbank Banquet Hall in Mpumalanga, has been postponed. The 42-year-old singer from KwaZulu-Natal is known for her soulful Afro-soul and jazz blend that has captivated fans across South Africa.
Brenda’s artist manager, Bongi Maseko, confirmed the decision to Daily Sun. “We’re still deciding, as a team, and looking at possible ventures. A new date will be announced as soon as the venue is confirmed,” he said.
Brenda addressed fans directly on Instagram. “Family, it’s with a heavy heart that I announce the postponement of my upcoming show. This decision was not made lightly. Unfortunately, ticket sales have not reached the level needed to deliver the full experience I had envisioned for you. I believe you deserve nothing less than my very best, and I want to ensure that when we meet, it’s a night to remember,” she wrote.
She reassured fans about tickets and future plans. “A new date will be announced soon, and all purchased tickets will remain valid. For those who would prefer a refund, details will be shared shortly. Thank you for your understanding, love, and continued support. We will dance, sing, and share beautiful moments together soon,” Brenda added.
Brenda first gained recognition as a member of the gospel group Joyous Celebration before pursuing a solo career. She has released albums including Inspire, So Much More, and Sane, and has performed at major events such as the Durban Jazz Festival.
She has shared stages with South African music legends including the late Hugh Masekela, Judith Sephuma, and Lira, establishing herself as one of the country’s most respected voices.
2024 was a breakthrough year for Brenda. She won Songwriter of the Year at the Basadi in Music Awards for her hit Bhaluyacima. Her album SANE won the Ikwekwezi FM Award for Best African Adult Contemporary Album. Brenda also earned her first-ever South African Music Awards nominations, securing nods for Best African Adult Contemporary Album, Best Engineered Album, and Female Artist of the Year.
Fans can expect a new date for the Brenda Mtambo Live Experience to be announced soon, with all previously purchased tickets remaining valid.
