An Update On Five Men Accused Of Killing Dumi Masilela. Last year SA suffered a great loss through the death of musician and actor Dumi Masilela who was hijacked and shot. The star later died in Hospital.
The police managed to find 5 suspects for his murder which are Bongani John Masombuka, Sfundo Harrison Nkosi, Khumbudzo Solomon Mukhuba, Brian Makhubedu and Mashudu Malema who are currently going trial at the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.
On Monday the 8th of October the five men were expected to appear in court but failed due to lack of legal representation. The case was postponed to take place on the 11th of October.
According to TshisaLIVE Bongani’s attorney Chris Botha told the court that he would no longer be representing him as he had not been paid to continue with the trail.
“My client wanted to apply for bail in May. At that point I asked for the contents of the docket but received a strange indictment that contained pages that indicated that further investigations needed to be done,” Chris told the court.
Prosecutor advocate Josie van der Westhuyzen told the court that a Legal Aid representative had been consulted and would appear on behalf of the five accused on Thursday.
