Mandisa Nduna Speaks On The Oppression Faced By Black Women In SA. Actress and musician Mandisa is one of many women in South Africa who feel that a black woman in Africa faces more abuse, degradation and discrimination more than anything else.
The star who’s an advocate for women and children n SA stressed during an interview with TshisaLIVE her views in regards to gender abuse.
“I think it is horrible to be a black woman in SA. I think it’s a horrible experience and most of the women in this country would most definitely leave if they were empowered enough economically and financially. Yes, there’s abuse everywhere but this country in particular is one of the worst.
“I am a big advocate for women’s rights as well as LGBTQ+ rights, so any campaign that is involved in that, in any way shape or form, I will take that opportunity. My activism is through my art,” Mandisa explained.
Mandisa said all women have experienced some form of abuse in their life.
“I think we’ve all experienced abuse in some way, shape or form. There are some forms of abuse that aren’t spoken about as much, like mental abuse and emotional abuse… I think we’ve all experienced it to some degree.”
