Brickz is a popular South African artist well known for songs like “Sweety my baby” . The musician was sentenced to 15 years behind bars at the Roodepoort Magistrate for raping a then 16-year-old at his home in Ruimsig, west of Johannesburg.

Pitch Black Afro is a South African Kwaito/Hip Hop MC from the Johannesburg township of Soweto. He found rapping a successful way to control his stutter. Pitch Black Afro was arrested on the 9th of January 2019 for allegedly murdering his wife on new years eve in 2018. He was charged (in the Magistrates Court of Johannesburg, held at Johannesburg) with premeditated murder and defeating the ends of justice.

On December 17, 2014, New York City Police arrested Bobby Shmurda, and he was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, weapons possession and reckless endangerment. In 2016, he pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to prison for seven years, which was reduced to five due to credit for the two years served awaiting trial counting towards the sentence.

As of September 16, 2016 it has been announced that Max B has taken a 20-year plea bargain for aggravated manslaughter and is set to be released November 9, 2025.
