Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) Lay charges against Mampintsha!
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) have announced they would be laying criminal charges against Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, after a video appearing to show him assaulting Gqom queen Babes Wodumo, real name Bongekile Simelane, went viral, evoking widespread outrage.
Action has been taken, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the province of KwaZulu-Natal declared their perspective and forged ahead to lay charges against the kwaito star – Mandla Mampintsha Maphumulo. This is beautiful to witness even though the allegedly abused – Babes Wodumo has not yet pressed charges. The party is trailing ahead giving her the confidence to take the first step. This keeps on getting better, Vusi Khoza – the chairperson of the province will usher the KZN EFF and they will match to the Umlazi Magistrate’s Court to press charges on Monday around 11 am.
They released a statement the EFF, publicly rebuking Mampintsha’s conduct is “abhorrent and revolting”.
This is serious, there has been a public declare on social media encouraging South African’s to perform a public arrest when they come across the perpetrator (Mandla Mampintsha Maphumulo) the party wants justice to be taken, they want these guy to be dragged to the police station. Women who are victims of domestic violence are encouraged to break their silence, never let yourself be silent.
Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi tweeted standing with Babes Wodumo with a hashtag #ArrestMampintsha.
A prominent man in our country has called for the prominent musician, producer, formerly known in a group called Big Nuz to be handcuffed.
Ever since the story broke many distinguished individuals have come forth to share their thoughts pertaining to the violence that has taken place. The list ranges from DJ Zihle, Hlomla Dandala and Sizwe Dlomo; they stand unflinchingly rebuking the action of the abuser and calling for action to take place. Boity Thulo, meantime urged radio stations not to give him an opportunity to tell his side of the story; an opportunity to escape taking responsibility for his actions. Ntsiki Mazwai urges for events promoters to stop booking him.
In the video that is surfacing; the sexy dancer – Babes Wodumo is seen venting and asking questions, followed by beatings, the accused, Mandla, has left a mark in the hearts of fans, despondency after witnessing his brutality towards his partner.
There have been attempts to reach Mandla through his managerial team at West Ink bookings, but to no avail. And this is not the first time he has been suspected of violence. We hope someone will resolve this case and Babes Wodumo can receive the justice she deserves.
