Mshoza speaks out against abuse
It has been so far a frenetic week since the abuse transpired between Babes Wodumo and her partner Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo.
When you suspect another individual to be a casualty of domestic abuse, we sometimes feel we are not equipped with the accurate materials to be of service. We should not fret; we must not allow fear to run our lives and prohibit us from helping those in need.
There are no ideal words one can say; when you are sincere, you are on the right track. If we can be able to do something, let us not hesitate because of waiting for the “right time”
We can only imagine; how the women abused utterly feel unless you have experienced a similar tragic encounter you can only sympathise to an extent. Johannesburg – Kwaito star Mshoza has expressed herself on Instagram on the matter. She also has had a past in experiencing domestic violence with her ex-husband. She has come forth, resulting in the video that surfaced of Babes Wodumo being physically assaulted.
It has been confirmed by Wodumo’s sister that the video is authentic and trashes the rumours of it being part of a publicity stunt planned prior. Insisting those rumours are not true.
It was with no surprise that Nomasonto – Mshoza was exasperated by the conduct; this is what she had to say – “get out” while you still have time.
She continued – Expressing that she is not taking her calls – although; she told her she needs to leave the relationship.
While you are beautiful and have your esteem intact, you still believe in yourself, she elaborated. She encouraged her to not let herself destroyed maintaining this relationship. She continued to say, there will get a point when he is done with you and will to find someone else. She needs her to take action. She has also been interviewed by Metro FM and told Mo Flava and Masechaba the details of the tragic night she was abused.
She, gave her piece of mind to Mampintsha, displeased, she then had to say: “Mampintsha your career is over, you shit.” He needs to confront people his own size, who are not afraid of his conduct, who have the power to put him in his place. She basically announced – we are not afraid of him, as we all stand together to fight against this illness. This is empowering when we as a country stand in one accord.
When we retrace our steps back in 2018 when the dilemma surfaced she was also standing in the front line to assure Babes Wodumo is not alone. Obviously, the allegations were quickly squashed, but she expressed her support through an open letter relating to her to remain strong and courageous and to know she is never alone.
We are powerful when we stand together than alone. It is heartfelt, the support and empathy shared for Bongekile – Babes Wodumo.
