Ntsiki Mazwai Says AKA & Cassper’s Lyrical Content Has Dropped The Standard Of SA Hip Hop
Ntsiki Mazwai Says AKA & Cassper’s Lyrical Content Has Dropped The Standard Of SA Hip Hop – Ntsiki Mazwai strikes again, honestly, she couldn’t care less who you are and what status you hold. She is candid; no sugar coating.
The poet, musician and TV Personality ushered to social media to share her thoughts once again and this time focused on the current Hip Hop status. She asserted that the two most prominent stars in the rap game AKA & Cassper Nyovest need to assess their message, what they are communicating through their music.
She states their level of influence is below the radar and fails to make an impact, in comparison to the likes of ProKid.
Now, her observation led her to realise AKA and Cassper Nyovest’s content is saturated with alcohol and does not address the social issues afflicting our country.
“ProKid’s generation rapped about social issues… AKA and Cassper rap about booze. #StandardDrop“ she said. Ntsiki explained that she felt Cassper and AKA offered nothing “substantial” in their music and that they seldom rapped about real issues affecting people.
“We need rappers who rap about real issues affecting us… so they can fulfil their spiritual calling of giving us rhymes we can vent to… and thus express our emotions and therefore making us better souls,” Ntsiki Mazwai.
Her point is that we need a radical transformation in the rap game, artists that understand the meaning behind their calling. She says they need to be proactive, conscious to their environment. The OG’S attempted to expose social issues with the agenda to eradicate limited mindset and infiltrate an optimistic mindset to bring forth change.
