Jessica Mbangeni Explains Why She Wore The Skin Of A Lioness – Jessica Mbangeni, the poet, musicians who have been making waves with Vusi Nova’s hit song “Asiphelelanga,” came dressed and she took the unconventional way of fashion.
She walked the red carpet on Saturday at the SAMAs wearing the skin of a lioness. According to Daily Sun, her plan is to unearth and bring forth consciousness to what she is as an African, the understanding of wildlife, and culture.
Her dress code was controversial and a fraction of people opposed her methods, she remains unflinching, she is not expressing regret about her dress code.
“I sell various animal outfits through my company Kwantu Afrocentric Designs, both locally and internationally. I’m an African.“I want my people to know that I’m liberated and here to teach those who care to listen. I’ve already provided costumes to various international productions such as Black Panther,” she stated.
“I am a brand of my own culture as an African and Xhosa person. I do not just make statements with my music, poetry but also with my clothing.”
She was very expensive people, her outfit is estimated between R40 000 and R70 000, she is also in the process of attaining the accurate details for securing a hunting licence.
