Watch! DJ Shimza’s Charity Foundation “Shoes Of Hope” Impacts The Community – The Thembisa icon, Ashley Raphala is popularly known as Dj Shimza is known for the love he has for his community.

Every year the planning and hosting of his One Man Show event is hosted on Christmas Day, income that comes from that is then utilised to purchase school shoes for underprivileged children. The event is held at Mehlareng Stadium.

On the 14th of January 2020, Shimza once again hosted a ceremony at Olifantsfontein Hall to supply a total of “2000 Shoes of Hope” to be distributed to poor deserving learners from his Kasi, Tembisa.

In attendance was the Executive Mayor of Ekurhuleni, Mzwandile Masina and the MEC of Education and Youth Development, Panyaza Lesufi.

Beneficiaries were in attendance. Beneficiaries are identified beforehand from Tembisa Schools and a list is drawn up.
