Afro-Soul Star Mthunzi Ndimande Teams Up with His Brother Sfundo for an Exciting Musical Chapter

Afro-soul singer and songwriter Mthunzi Ndimande has every reason to be smiling these days. The Imithandazo hitmaker, known for his soulful vocals and powerful songwriting, is embarking on a new and meaningful musical journey—this time with his younger brother, Sfundo Ndimande.

The talented siblings recently joined forces on DJ Zinhle’s debut album Zee Nation, contributing to four tracks that have already started generating buzz. For Mthunzi, the opportunity to collaborate with Sfundo marks a deeply personal and fulfilling milestone in his career.

“To me, it means a lot,” Mthunzi shared. “This is just the beginning. Being part of whatever Sfundo is doing, and him being part of what I’m doing, is exciting. I’m looking forward to everything we’ll create and the success that comes with it.”

While Sfundo may be newer to the spotlight, he’s no stranger to the grind. He admitted that working with his big brother is both inspiring and intense. “It’s very nice, I won’t lie. Mthunzi is such a fun guy to work with, even though he’s very strict when it comes to the final product. It’s fun and amazing, but the pressure is real,” he said with a laugh.

The brothers made it clear that this is only the beginning of their journey as a creative duo. Although they’re not rushing to release a joint project just yet, they hinted that something special is in the works. Their focus right now is on building a strong foundation and making sure everything is in place before unveiling their next move.

“We’re definitely working on something,” they said. “We can’t say too much right now or drop details, but something is cooking. We’re not about hyping things on social media and then going quiet. We want to make sure the foundation is solid before we release anything. We also want to be sure about which company we’re partnering with before anything drops.”

In a surprising revelation, Mthunzi shared that he and Sfundo didn’t always know they both had musical talent. “When Sfundo heard me sing, he was surprised. And when I heard him sing, I was like, ‘Wow, you can sing too?’ Even with producing and writing, I was more in the spotlight at first, but Sfundo was always behind the scenes, sharpening his skills.”

As the Ndimande brothers continue to grow individually and together, their bond and mutual respect are setting the stage for something truly special. With their shared passion and vision, fans can expect heartfelt music that blends experience with fresh energy—something the South African music scene will no doubt embrace.
