He took to social media to share visuals of his interview with Mixmag to share details of his tour, and the experience of travelling as a South African DJ.
What does he think of his touring?
“I think moving forward that is the life that I would wanna Live get to experience other cultures, listen to other people’s music and listen to other Deejays and I can learn. That has always been the vision, obviously, you want to play the big shows but. More than anything fo me the travelling of it is the peak.”
What do you think is important in connecting with so many people around the world?
You get to experience a lot of different cultures and I think, even with us from South Africa, I think a lot of and I am happy that I am one person that can go out there and educate people about who we are – our music, history.
“For me moving around is about learning and teaching people about who we are”
The history of South African Dance music?
“We come from an error where we used to buy and import a lot of music from oversees. There is a sound called Amapionano has taken over like the South African Music Industry”
He spoke about the evolution of Qgom, Amapiano, Afrotech that is still developing and that it is up to the pioneers of Each genre to ensure they take it to the world.
