Watch! Catch Zahara In Cape Town At The Rocking the Daisies Festival – South Africa’s largest music festival, Rocking the Daisies, has been looking to increase festival attendance, in order to ensure the consistent success of the event.
With little advertising budget, the objective was to focus on the use of social media to drive awareness and conversation. We determined that the optimal way to reach the under-25 market across such channels was through the online creation of ‘FOMO’ or the ‘fear of missing out’.
In addition, newer mediums, such as Snapchat, were used, in order to instil a sense that the brand truly understands their market. In the end, social media activity reached staggering heights and festival attendance wasn’t only sold out, but increased by 7%, despite an economically challenging environment.
