SA Musicians Who Won Awards At The Dance Music Awards 2019 – The winners of the 2019 Dance Music South Africa Awards (DMASA) were announced in Ekurhuleni, last night.
The awards were created in 2017 to acknowledge the accomplishments and contributions of South African dance music artists.
1. DJ Shimza
DJ Shimza scored the most one of the big winners at last night’s South African Dance Music Awards, bagging two prizes in a glitzy ceremony.
Shimza’s One Man Show won the Best Festival category, while the producer also walked away with the reputable Best Male DJ award. He ushered to social media after the ceremony to pose with his two trophies.
2. Prince Kaybee
His contention, Prince Kaybee, also bagged an award, ushered home with the House Record of the Year award for Fetch Your Life. Even though that caused a bit of confusion with fans when Msaki was not mentioned during the acceptance speech.
3. Black Coffee
Our global sensation Black Coffee is persistence in his supremacy of 2019 with another win in the Best Album category.
4.Black Motion
Black Motion won the Best Live Act category.
5. DJ Buhle
Best Female DJ went to DJ Buhle.
6. Simmy
Simmy won the Best Female Vocalist prize.
6. Distruction Boyz
Distruction Boyz showed they are still a force in SA music, taking home the Best Gqom Record of the Year for Amaxoki featuring DJ Tira.
7. DJ Maphorisa/Kabza De Small/Samthing Soweto
DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small have been filling dance floors across the country with their hits and walked away with the Best Amapiano Record of the Year for their song Amantombazane with Samthing Soweto.
