The iconic, global music producer, DJ Black Coffee took a moment to mirror on the accident that altered his life forever, resulting in his left arm being paralysed.
The internationally acclaimed South African Dj and Producer has marked the 11 February as a significant day in his life.
He shared an Instagram post, a newspaper front page of the late former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela, the image meant to remind us of the freedom expressions attained as a country triggered a significant time 30 years ago when he was involved in an accident that claimed two lives and lent him in the hospital recovering. Although, history was being created, the former president who was imprisoned for 27 years to be realised and become the first black President in South Africa.
In his detailed reflection on the excruciating repercussions of the accident and trying to accept his status quo, he is grateful to God for giving him music which has a healing effect on him prior to reaching his fans.
Exactly 30 years ago, the “Drive” producer was involved in a horrific accident which took two other lives. Feeling grateful and nostalgic, he posted a heartfelt message on Instagram alongside a newspaper clipping of Mandela when he was released from jail 27 years ago.
“It’s been 30 years. 30 years ago excatly (sic) at this hour I was in hospital in pain after an accident that took 2 lives while we were celebrating the release of this great human being Nelson Mandela from 27 years of prison,” Black Coffee wrote.
Now, Fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry flooded their comments on the DJ’s post with messages of love and appreciation.
