“I taught myself music production” says Oe Batla Kae Hitmaker

House music producer and Oe Batla Kae Hitmaker De Mogul whose real name is Tshepo Rangaka spoke about his passion for music and everything he sacrificed to pursue a career in music. he said that he started music as a hobby using the equipment that was owned by his friend. Mogul revealed all of this on an interview with Sunday world.

Rangaka dropped out at his second year in university where he was doing media studies because of financial issues. He said that most of what he knows about producing music he taught himself. “I taught myself music production watching YouTube videos, and I started to produce sounds that were influenced by Da Capo and Culoe De Song,” he said.

The music producer sent one of his songs to DJ Ganyani, who invited him to come to Johannesburg. “He signed me under his Ganyani Entertainment and mentored me. We worked together on his Ganyani’s House Groove 9,”he added. Oe Batla Kae was released in April and topped the music chart.

De Mogul concluded by saying that he will be releasing his album in 2018, “I am currently working on an album that will be released in 2018,” he said.
