Black Coffee went on social media to hit a young throwback to the time before he became a DJ. The music producer posted a picture of him, his late cousin and his brother at his mother’s place. The music producer posted the image as a form of motivation for his followers.

In the post he specified that the picture was taken before his car accident. “The year is probably 1989 at my then Mother’s place…That’s me (in black shorts), with my late cousin Lwazi Kweyama and my brother [Siyanda Maphumulo]. Young kids with big dreams and [of course] this was before my car accident. God knew. If you told me then that I’ll be where I am today would’ve probably laughed at you. It was alredy written,” says Black Coffee. Social media users were inspired by the music producer’s post.

One social media user says, “That [Black Coffee] throwback on IG, made me realise how much we shouldn’t sleep on our dreams…” One user says, “It is already written. God Knew. God knows All.” Another social media user says, “I always tell my friends that you are a definition of “hard work and determination”.
