On Tuesday 26th May, Ricky Tyler signed to Def Jam Recordings & Universal Music Group’s newly announced division, Def Jam Africa. The flagship roster includes Cassper Nyovest, Nadia Nakai & Nasty C to name a few.
Today Ricky Tyler deliver’s a surprise pre-order for his album titled Small World and his 2nd single of the project titled Everything.
Everything is a modern day take on classic RnB recorded in a church setting as Ricky serenades the girl next door.
Throughout the entire song Ricky shoots his shot and gives her multiple reasons why he would be great for her and why they would be great for each other, if only she’d give him a chance.
With the assistance of a choir in the background humming and echoing his every word, Ricky effortlessly glides over the beat, his vocals are infectious and his words are filled with conviction.
This mid-tempo ballad was produced by PlayGround, the producer duo composed of Glo TheBeatz & Kyle Keyz.
Previous to this Ricky dropped Thirty K’s a groovy 90’s themed ode to a brief but memorable interaction with a woman in Ricky’s life. Since its release the song has gathered close to 100k streams across all platforms.
