The coronavirus pandemic has been one of the worst disasters seen by millennials. The virus has stopped life as we know it in the modern day. The lockdown period has not only helped people, it has also been of huge help to the environment. Professionals have seen a reduction of air pollution in the past days.
This goes to show how much power humans have on the planet life. GoodLuck, a South African electronic band, has went on to speak about this issue in their track titled ‘What Next’. The track makes one consider what the future would be like if people were to go on with the same ignorance for the atmosphere. The lead singer, Jules, says, “We cannot go back to treating the world the way we did before this pandemic. We have to change the way we live and consume, or the future isn’t going to look bright for any of us.”
She began writing the track in 2017 but then she got to finish the track during the lockdown period. The lead singer says that due to the feelings that she has been having amidst the pandemic she finally found the words that would help her finish the song. The track was first performed on Global Citizen’s ‘Together At Home’ concert. The group band will be giving half of their profits to the World Land Trust.
