South African singer and songwriter Tamaryn is embracing a bold new chapter with the release of her highly anticipated single, “Never Alone.” This marks her first release under her birth name and blends Afrobeats rhythms with radiant pop melodies. Featuring Nigerian artist Rhyma, the track is a cross-cultural collaboration highlighting unity, resilience, and divine companionship.

Inspired by Tamaryn’s personal journey of faith and self-discovery, “Never Alone” reflects a transformative season of solitude. After years of back-to-back relationships, she spent three months in Spain, finding freedom and peace in being single. The song carries the assurance that she was never truly alone.

The lyrics celebrate growth, healing, and resilience. Lines like “Feeling free / So far from where I used to be” and “Made art out of what was left of me” convey turning pain into beauty. The refrain “I’m never alone” serves as a spiritual affirmation, rooted in her Christian faith but inclusive to all, emphasizing that through God, a higher power, or inner strength, guidance and protection are always present.

The official music video for “Never Alone” was filmed at the Cradle Boutique Hotel, showcasing South Africa’s natural landscapes. For the video, Tamaryn collaborated with Devin Nyschens of Culture Collective, whose editing and storytelling brought her vision to life. “I knew he would bring this concept to life in a way that felt authentic to me, and he really did,” she said.
