Musician Moonchild Sanelly has just been signed to a new global recording label, Transgressive Records. A few weeks before, the artist was given a distribution deal. The artist has also released her first single under the recording label titled ‘Bashiri’.
The track is supposedly directed towards pastors that use the church for their own financial benefit. “Bashiri is a song inspired by a woman’s testimony in a church where the pastor is treated like a god whilst monetizing religion. People pay for ‘miracle oil’ whilst the pator lands at the service in a helicopter, being treated like God himself despite taking money from his congregation,” says Moonchild Sanelly. The story is told from the point of view of a woman who has a cheating husband. In the track, the woman speaks about her relationship and takes him to a pastor that promises to help her with her issues.
“Fearless, inclusive and a lot of fun, Moonchild Sanelly is a truly Transgressive artist that is only just getting started. Her iconic personal style combined with an outspoken approach to female sexual empowerment has built her devoted fanbase…” The artist’s fans are quite excited that their fave gets to reach a global audience.
