The minister says that the artists should be supported. The pair has topped charts all over the world, with their music video numbers rapidly rising in views.

Shwashwi from the Sunday World used the ‘Macarena’ comparison to make a statement. “I worry that like the Macarena hitmakers, this may just be a one-hit wonder that spells the end of Master KG and Nomcebo. Please let it not be so,” says Shwashwi.

Lindiwe Zulu went on to stand up for the two ‘Jerusalema’ hit makers. “…the negative rearing its ugly head…let’s bask in the glory and worry about the future yes…but please get out of here with negative vibes! They’ll think of something…Give them the chance and support1 Viva Master KG and Nomcebo viva! Viva all SA creatives viva,” says Lindiwe Zulu. The two artists have recently collaborated on Nomcebo’s lead single titled ‘Xola Moya Wam’.
