On the 28th of August the world heard the sad news of the passing of Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman. The Black Panther star was an inspiration to black people all over the world as the first black superhero. The star passed away after a 4 year long battle with Colon cancer as announce on his social media platforms.
South African house DJ, Black Coffee, paid tribute to late actor. The musician went on to state how grateful he was that Chadwick Boseman liked listening to his music during his working period. In the appreciation tweet, Black Coffee posts a video recording whereby the actor names the musicians that he listens to when he is set on working. He thus also mentions Black Coffee’s track ‘Get It Together’ alongside international hit maker, Drake.
“Grateful to have been a little part of the King’s life,” says Black Coffee. Social media users commended Black Coffee for being included in Chadwick Boseman’s playlist. One social media user says, “Get it together…that’s truly a great song no wonder that was his favorite too.” One social media user says, “He was a very humble soul.” One user went on to say that Black Coffee should release something in the honour of Chadwick Boseman.
