When they began their relationship, Chad da Don and Kelly Khumalo were over the moon. The songstress was also close to the mother of the hip hop artist. However, the couple ended the relationship.

In an interview with MacG, the artist explained the breakup in detail. The singer says that she is grateful that her relationship with Chad da Don didn’t work out. She also says that it would have been the worst mishap of her life if she were to carry on being in a relationship with the hip hop artist. The singer says that the hip hop artist is insecure. “I would’ve been stuck with a man who is highly insecure and needed a lot of growing up to do. Who needed a lot of healing to do, needed a lot of self-love to do, and that was slowly somehow being transferred to me,” says Kelly Khumalo.

She states that she was the one that ended things between her and Chad da Don instead of the idea that Chad ended things between them. “I called it off. Being insecure about friends, I have a lot of gay friends, being insecure about my fans. My fans are my life. I am where I am because they support my music,” says Kelly Khumalo. She has removed the ringer tattoo that symbolised their marriage and replaced it with a feather tattoo.
