Simmy has made a name for herself with her beautiful voice and amazing lyrics on her debut album ‘Tugela Fairy’. The artists has now been added on the cover of Apple Music’s largest African playlist, ‘Africa Now’ with DJ Cuppy. The Tugela fairy is set to release a follow-up album to her debut album titled ‘Tugela Fairy: Made Of Stars’ and she has released a beautiful single from the album titled ‘Emakhaya’, which features Da Capo and Sun-El Musician.

The musician speaks about working with tribal house duo Black Motion on one of the songs from her upcoming album. The artist teased people with a track from her featuring Black Motion titled ‘Stay With You’. She explained the reason why she collaborated with the highly acclaimed duo on the song. “It’s such a deep song, beautiful song. I often say, I always wanna make people cry when I write. But it’s really such a beautiful song but at the same time I always people probably dance at the same time and that’s just what Black Motion came with…,” says Simmy. The musician also speaks about the difference between ‘Tugela Fairy’ and the upcoming ‘Tugela Fairy: Made In The Stars’ albums.

On the debut album she was recording on the side while she was working on a 9-5 job but then with the current album she managed to quit her job after two years, thus focusing solely on music. “On the first album, while I was recording I was still doing my 9-5 for like 2 years. I didn’t really even get time to actually finish all the songs happily. To be honest the first album is a bunch of ideas that weren’t finished but because of their lives and everything they had to let it go. And ‘Tugela Fairy: Made Of Stars’, I feel like it was a more wave for me because after two years I quit my job and I focused on just music,” says Simmy. She went on to say that she wants to inspire every girl out there with her story telling.
