Former president Jacob Zuma left the office in a bad way. Even after he left, the former president is still getting headline stories about himself. This is in consideration of his pending appearance at the Zondo commission of inquiry for state capture.

Jacob Zuma’s legal team and the Zondo commission’s secretary had a back and forth. The two parties also had an exchange of words due to the Zondo commission’s secretary wanting to know if the former president will be present the following week. Lvovo came forward to stand up for the former president. The musician says that the former South African president is being used as a scapegoat. “The amount of love people have for Zuma. I think this country will be put on reset the day they attempt to arrest him. Zuma is being persecuted for nothing & we are getting tired of it. He is used as a scapegoat [and] we will fight for him. We are not stupid,” says Lvovo.

Social media users reacted to the tweet by the kwaito artist. “Long live principled selfless President Zuma long live! They are busy looting while blaming his shadow on everything that is wrong in SA,” says one tweep. Some social media users reacted by pointing out that the former president is not an innocent person. Lvovo is a huge supporter of Jacob Zuma, pushing positivity towards the former president.
