Talented vocalist Kelly Khumalo wants her followers to not waste their money by voting for her in the KwaZulu-Natal Entertainment Awards. The awards are set to happen at the Durban ICC on the 15th of December. The musician halted her fans from voting for her in the ‘Best Female Artist’ award category.

In the category she is nominated alongside Babes Wodumo, Nomcebo Zikode, Holly Rey, Cici, Shekinah, Simmy, Zanda Zakuza and the musician’s sister Zandie Khumalo. The winner of the award is set to get a trophy and R100k, but Kelly Khumalo shows no interest in the awards. One social media user asked the songstress if they should vote for her in the category. “Don’t waste your money there…,” says Kelly Khumalo. Social media users reacted to the musician telling them not to vote for her.

One social media user says, “I think I understand where she is coming from, don’t even think this nomination is even genuine.” One social media user says, “Kelly has always been real…” Another person who stated that the award ceremony is a waste of time is Hulisani Ravele. The media personality believed that the money used for the awards could be used for something better.
