Master KG has managed to speak more about his collaboration on ‘Jerusalema’ remix, which features internationally acclaimed Nigerian musician Burna Boy and Nomcebo Zikode. The hit track has managed to reach gold status. It has also topped charts locally and internationally.

According to a Nigerian news publication called The Punch, Master KG says that he did not pay for the Burna Boy feature on the remix. “I did not pay Burna Boy to feature on the remix of the song, Jerusalema. There was no paid fee for this feature to happen. The amazing thing about the song is that it was already popular,” says Master KG. The Internationally renowned dance music producer says that he heard that ‘Jerusalema’ was one of Burna Boy’s favourite songs too. “It was so easy to make it work and make the collaboration a success. So, there was no payment for the feature.”

Master KG says that his team reached out to Burna Boy and he agreed to be part of the remix. “My team reached out to him and he agreed. It was great because Burna Boy was also aware of the original song, it was not new to him so that also made things easier for him to relate and accept too be part of the song because it is something that he knew about,” says Master KG. The music producer says that they shared ideas, the internationally acclaimed Nigerian musician then recorded the song and sent it to Master KG.

The dance music producer says that he told Burna Boy that he was blown away. Master KG has been going all over the world with the success of his hit song ‘Jerusalema’ featuring vocalist Nomcebo Zikode. He even got to meet Vin Diesel and his wife Paloma Jimenez at Santiago in the Dominican Republic.
