Post Malone ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ Earns Honor Not Achieved In Over a Year Billboard

Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for a fifth nonconsecutive week, making it the first album with five weeks atop the list in more than a year. The title rises 2-1 on the Nov. 16-dated tally, with 78,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Nov. 7 (down 3%), according to Nielsen Music.

The last set to spend five weeks at No. 1 was Drake’s Scorpion, which spent a total of five weeks in charge, all consecutively (July 14, 2018-dated chart, its debut week, through Aug. 11).

Hollywood’s Bleeding debuted at No. 1 on Sept. 21, then spent its second and third weeks in the top slot. It returned to No. 1 on Nov. 2, and again tops the new chart.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Nov. 16-dated chart, where Hollywood’s Bleeding returns to No. 1, will be posted in full on Billboard’s websites on Nov. 12.

Kanye West’s Jesus Is King falls from No. 1 to No. 2 on its second week on the chart, with 72,000 equivalent album units earned (down 73%).

YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s former leader AI YoungBoy 2 rises 4-3 with 62,000 equivalent album units (though down 3%).

Miranda Lambert claims the lone debut in the top 10, as her latest studio album Wildcard arrives at No. 4 with 53,000 equivalent album units (with 44,000 of that sum in album sales). The new set marks her sixth top 10 effort, all of which have been consecutive, starting with 2007’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (which peaked at No. 6). She’s led the list once, with 2014’s Platinum.

Wildcard logs the third-largest week of 2019 for any country album, and the largest for a country album by a woman.

Summer Walker’s Over It is steady at No. 5 on the new Billboard 200, with 53,000 equivalent album units earned (down 11%), while DaBaby​’s former No. 1 Kirk is also a non-mover, at No. 6, with 36,000 units (down 9%).

Young Thug’s former leader So Much Fun rises 10-7 with 35,000 equivalent album units earned (up 23%), with SEA units powering the bulk of the set’s week (34,000; up 22%). The set gets a jolt thanks to interest generated by a new remix of the album’s “Hot,” which adds Travis Scott as a featured guest, in addition to the song’s original featured act, Gunna.

Closing out the new top 10 are three former No. 1s: Taylor Swift’s Lover dips 7-8 (34,000 units; down 2%), Billie Eilish​’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? falls 8-9 (32,000 units; down 1%) and Chris Brown’s Indigo climbs 11-10 (24,000 units; down 4%).
