Fans Have Mixed Feelings Towards The Ndlovu Youth Choir’s New Vaccine Song

Fans have expressed their mixed feelings after the multi-award winning choir released a new song, called ‘Jaba Jaba’, to promote vaccination. The Jaba Jaba song basically aims to encourage people to get vaccinated to ensure that they are protected from COVID-19. The choir also released a song last year, ‘Fight Against Coronavirus’, to raise awareness about the coronavirus.

The choir also posted a the music video on Twitter, captioned: “Now that the vaccines are here, let’s encourage one another to get the jab and do the #JabaJaba#VaccineforSouthAfrica.”

However, the music video of the song is receiving mixed reactions on Twitter after many fans said they are sceptical about getting the vaccine. One fan commented: “How much did u get for this song. South Africa is a joke.” Here are more reactions:

The first batch of the COVID-19 vaccine has officially landed in the country on the 1st of February. Frontline healthcare workers among others will be the first ones to receive the vaccine in Phase 1, followed by essential workers, those in congregate settings, those over 60 and people over 18 with comorbidities in phase 2. Other persons over 18-years-old will receive the vaccine in phase 3.
