Nosipho Silinda Scores Her Debut Acting Role On Popular Telenovela. Idols SA Season 15 contestant Nosipho has landed a new acting role on Mzansi Magic’s popular soapie The Queen. Nosipho was one contestant who was determined to finish school despite making it so far in the Idols SA competition. The 20-year-old musician released her debut single titled “Thembalami”, which became a huge hit and garnered massive radio play.

Taking to social media, the star revealed that she indeed have joined The Queen and will be playing a character called Cici. “Yes, I have joined The Queen on @Mzansimagic. I can’t wait for you to meet #Cici,” captioned Nosipho.

In an interview with Glamour early this year, Nosipho revealed that she has gone into acting and people would soon see her on TV. “I plan to study further; I have mad love for the arts so I’ve gone into acting although I can’t disclose much on that but people can expect to see me on their tv screen soon,” said Nosipho.

Speaking on her Idols SA journey, Nosipho said: “I grew up a lot and developed as a creative. My voice grew, my range. I learnt a lot about the industry. I was opened up to a lot of opportunities. I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember… been in the school choir since primary school and then into high school as well.” Once the auditions were taking place two years ago, the young talent managed to keep herself sane through the madness of it all. “It was insane but I managed – I warmed my vocals and was present and on time.”
