Amanda Black Vents About Black People Being Dehuminised In The Hands Of Safety Officers And SANDF Amid Lock Down

Amanda Black Vents About Black People Being Dehuminised In The Hands Of Safety Officers And SANDF Amid LockDown – On Sunday, 29, March, 2020 visuals surfaced on social media revealing SANDF members and police officers patrolling the streets of Khayelitsha in Cape Town.

They came across a family sitting outside their house in their enclosed yard.

The officers commanded them to go into the house. A woman had the courage to question the fairness of the instruction, considering that they were on their property in line with lockdown regulations as they understood them.

Purposeful, the officers instructed them categorically to go inside. Fretting what might transpire, one of the men in the yard jumped to urge the woman to go inside.

The visuals elevated numerous questions. At best it depicts the aperture that sometimes surfaces between citizens and law enforcement personnel in comprehending the extent and detail of the lockdown regulations. Honestly, it illustrates what seems to be an abuse of power by law enforcement personnel.

This is what Amanda Black had to say:

The law is the law and SANDF and police must be adhere to the law as they wish the citizens to. If someone breaks the law arrest them, or fine them.

All that they are doing is showing that they have the power, degrading and humiliation our people. And no there is no reason good enough to do this!! Police brutality and SANDF brutality must be addressed!! @PresidencyZA

If the government doesn’t do anything about what is happening to our people, they will have a mutiny on their hands, and people will have no choice but take the law into their own hands. Then it will be war, people will die. This needs to stop guys.
