DJ Zinhle’s Reality Show, ‘The Unexpected’ Season Finale Captures The Last Moments Leading Up To The Birth Of Asante
Saturday evenings will never be the same for BET Africa viewers as DJ Zinhle bids farewell to her admirers across the continent, who have enjoyed watching her life journey on BET Africa’s local reality series DJ Zinhle – The Unexpected which airs on BET Africa (DStv channel 129, GOtv Channel 21) at 19:30 CAT/ 18:30 WAT. In the season finale, the show captures Zinhle’s intimate luncheon with her close family, during which they toast to Asante and enjoy a family photoshoot. Before heading out to deliver, the business mogul double-checks her company’s stock logistics, Era by DJ Zinhle, and when they arrive at the hospital, Murdahbongz is giddy with excitement and can’t wait for the baby to arrive.
“Because I was having a c-section, I remember being terrified and thinking about how some people go in to deliver a baby but do not survive, but having Bongani by my side was reassuring. He was nervous as well, but he together with the staff did everything they could to ensure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process. I believe it took 5 minutes to pull the baby out of my tummy, but it felt like hours because time seemed to move too slowly. Bongani was the most amazing person to have by my side during the birth of our child.” says DJ Zinhle. The award-winning club DJ did not want to do a reality TV Show, but in the end she felt strongly about taking her fans and supporters through her pregnancy journey and ultimately the birth of her second child. Through this process she reveals intimate moments with her partner, Murdahbongz, and the people she cares about most.
Throughout the season of The Unexpected, the multi-talented club DJ, business mogul and TV personality took viewers into her personal life as she broke the news of her pregnancy to her siblings, mother and close friends as well as dealing with cultural and societal pressures around marriage. The show also revealed how close DJ Zinhle is with her house manager, Zama, whom she believes has complete power over the house in every way. Viewers also got to see how DJ Zinhle runs her businesses, and the trust and camaraderie with her Manager, Thabiet, which is a lovely thing to see between an employer and her employees.
