Oskido Launches A Music Distribution Platform For African Artists. Co- founder of Kalawa Jazmee Records, kwaito musician and music producer Oscar Bonginkosi Madlongwa, popularly known as Oskido has launched a new music platform to help artists distribute their music.
The name of the platform is called Khwale Music Distribution. Oskido is working alongside and in partnership with one of South Africa’s best Amapiano DJ and producer, DJ Maphorisa and the owner of Podcast and Chill, MacG. Khwale Music Distribution is an independent digital music distribution service that is created to ease the access of distribution for independent African artists. The platform help artists sell their music to major music platforms such as, Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify and more.
Furthermore, it assist artists keep control of their music. The artists gets to release music for a year, any music unlimited for as little R300 for subscription. What makes this company different from the rest is because an artist has 100 percent ownership and gets 100 percent royalties.
“To all musicians across AFRICA we have set up a platform that cuts out the middle man and allows you to have 100 percent Royalty and own 100 percent of your masters”, Oskido shared.
